The elections for cooperative societies in Uttarakhand will take place on March 18 and 19, 2025. The Cooperative Election Authority (CEA) has announced the election schedule.
The Uttarakhand High Court had upheld an earlier stay order for cooperative society elections, preventing any rule change in the election process once it had already started. As a result, all elections, except for unopposed selections, were cancelled. Over 95% of elections for the state’s 8000 societies were uncontested. Elections will now be held for about 400 societies.
