DPIIT (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade), which operates under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Bhaane Group, a subsidiary of Shahi Exports Private Limited, one of the largest apparel manufacturers.

This collaboration will foster startups in manufacturing and other production areas. It will also forge connections between domestic and international startup ecosystems, encouraging idea exchange and cooperation.

The MOU was formalized by Anand Ahuja, CEO and co-founder of Bhane Group, and Dr. Sumeet K. Jarangal, IAS, Director of DPIIT.

Bhaane group, with its extensive experience in manufacturing and exports, will share market insights and help startups that specialise in manufacturing to thrive. The group will launch an incubation programme which will supply startups a holistic view of the foreign markets and handhold them through the entire startup lifecycle until they can sustain independently.
