Cooperative banks in the Madhya Pradesh capital of Bhopal will now develop a professional approach to recover from losses. These banks will take the aid of public representatives to recover loan amounts from defaulting farmers. The staff will be trained to engage with farmers and encourage them to repay their loans.

The bank staff will also seek assistance from the collector and revenue officials to recover outstanding amounts. The training for staff will particularly focus on imparting professional conduct while communicating with customers.

Cooperation Minister Vishwas Sarang, during a meeting with the Chief Executive Officers of District Cooperative Banks at the Coordination Bhavan on Saturday, instructed all assembled on the proper SOP of recovering loans while ensuring that consumer faith in cooperative banks remains steadfast. He said that bank employees should be trained online on conduct and behaviour. He added that every level of the bank should engage in healthy competition for innovation and good work. The best employee should be honored at the end of the year, he said.
